Javascript underline/bold/italicize/font size/font color/highlight color functions

Hi there,

I am doing something similar to the email system by using PHP and I need functions for

underline
bold
italicize
font size
font color
highlight color
left aligned
right aligned
justified

? I encountered some problems searching for some of the above functions and I would appreciate if you can help.

? Bascially, I need the functions where I can highlight the paragraph and click the font size button and the entire paragraph will have its font size changed.

Which is [COLOR=firebrick]NOT[/COLOR] somethind like this:
<font size=”2″>This is an example</font>

Not with the html codes, to be exact.

Just like the yahoo! email, when you bold the paragraph, the fonts of the entire paragraph will be bold, and not the appearance of the html tags.

@David_HarrisonDec 14.2004 — Well you can't do that with a textarea, Yahoo is using some IE proprietary thing that is similar to a textarea but allows for formatted text. Sorry but I can't help you there.
