I have a problem with the mailto: command and outlook 97, in that when the email link is click all the text is deposited in the To: field instead of in the subject and body fields (pegasus and outlook express work perfectly so I don’t think it is a problem with my code).
I’m writing a website on our company’s intranet and wanted a user feedback or change request facility. I don’t have server access so I can’t use forms submittal to a server side program so I am stuck with the mailto option to get user feedback to me (unless someone here knows another or better way).
Has anyone had this problem before? Our company uses outlook 97 as the default mail client so I must find a solution to this problem.
My code is below, please have a look and see if there is anything I can change. Thanks.
