click tracking system documentation

Hi,

I have to build a newsletter creation&management/click tracking system(eg. Coravue Mail: [url]http://www.coravue.com/exec/gt/tpl.h,content=250&[/url])

I need any kind of documentation for this kind of system: how to redirect newsletter clicks, how to manage click information, DB table arhitecture and management(system must be able to redirect and record thousands of user clicks)…
could use any kind of thorough documentation if it exists

@GenixdeaeNov 23.2004 — i'm not sure i fully understand you but i'm gonna give it a shot. if i understand you right you are looking for something that when a user clicks on a link from a newsletter it records what link the user clicked(to be redirected) and how many times it has been clicked correct? or am i way off.

Coravue( http://www.coravue.com/exec/gt/tpl.h,content=250& ) is exactly the kind of system I have to build. Check out the screen-shots for the menus.

I could use some documentation(if it exists) to prevent some scenarios like:

- the tables I'm storing user-clicks can sometimes reach a very high number of records..unfortunately I don't know much about mysql limits

- send-mail problems when organizing a newsletter 'campaign'(this is a scheduled task that consists of sending one or more newsletter on a certain day to thousands of e-mail addresses)

....and there are others, but I haven't structured the project yet, that's why I could use some reading before ?

@GenixdeaeNov 23.2004 — [URL=http://www.mysql.com/doc/]MySQL[/URL] is a good place to look for database data structure...for counting INT maxes out at 11 characters(if i remember right, which is 12345678901)

as for the mass emailing i'm not to sure on where some documentation is for that...i can only suggest going to google and type in something like ?HP mass emailing. there should be something within the results that can help.
