Hi,
Im looking for the best and easiest way to add a user interface with my website.

I post virtual tours online for Realtors and I would like to have the ability for realtors to logon and edit/add information about the house the virtual tour is for.
So i need to learn how to create a login page. and then have each account only be able to edit a select number of items.

I am sure i will have more questions later but the first one is how to setup a database of users, and a login screen.

@Daniel_TNov 15.2004 — Well, in order to do this, you're going to have to learn a server-side language, such as [url=http://www.php.net/][size=4]PHP[/size][/url] or [url=http://www.asp.net/][size=1]ASP[/size][/url]. Then you'll need to learn a database language such as [url="http://www.mysql.com/"]MySQL[/url]. Once you know these fairly well, you should be able to throw together a CMS (content management system) for this particular site.

Simple HTML won't be able to provide you with a login system. ?

well give me an idea of which is easier to learn php or asp both i have never worked with before.

and i do use css with the htm website i have now does php or asp support css.

CSS will work with either - the server-side language creates HTML "on the fly" which is sent to the browser, so you can use any valid HTML techniques within it.
