Hi, this is my first post on this forum…
I’ve developed a TOC using DHTML to show hide different levels of the TOC. My TOC has 3 levels and each level has a checkbox associated with it.
If you select the checkbox for the level 1, every item that belongs to that level 1 will be checked/unchecked accordingly…
At level 2 the same behaviour applies to the checkbox but only items that belong to that level 2…
now I’m under the asumption that at level1 if the box is checked it must mean all or some of the items belonging to that level one are checked…
My question is how the user will percieve this as somebody has said if some of the items belonging to the level1 are selected then the level 1 checkbox shouldn’t be checked unless all items are selected… I don’t think that’s a good idea but I understand their point of view, however I want another opinion.
I hope someone can help me with this.
Many thanks
