Setting Drop Down List Width To Auto

Hi Guys
Im having a problem. When i open my drop down ,list it fits for some menu items but is far to wide for others is there any javascript i can use to set it so that it automatically sets the width to the width of the largest item in the list?

@KorNov 12.2004 — remove the width completely. By default, the dropdown list will have the width of it's longest option's text.
