Newbie – Please Help Explain Some Code – 3 Lines

function hideShow(element){
var el = document.getElementById(element);
el.style.display = (el.style.display == ‘none’) ? ‘block’ : ‘none’;

I’m not sure exactly what’s going on here. Please explain.

@JPnycNov 10.2004 — That toggles between showing and hiding an element. It's using the conditional operator. That says if the display (css attr.) is none, then make it block, otherwise if it's NOT none, then make it none.
