open.window challenge

I’ve been trying to use open.window within the context of an MVC master control homepage, where a number of pages are called as templates with application server calls to my db.

When a person lands on my index page (and these other pages are called in various combinations), I’d like to have the display page be called by the index page in such a way that the open.window code is opened with browser functions all turned off (ie, I want to set window size & turn off scroll, toolbar, etc.)

… but, I want Microsoft’s SP2 notto put up the blocking message in the top of the page.

I’ve got it working already, but only IF I open a parallel page (ie, 2 pages with one calling the other), but I’m hoping someone here has tried this challenge already.

Thankx,
Craig

@scragarNov 03.2004 — why not just insert a peice of code in the second page that closes the old one?
