IE Autocomplete Behaviour

Hi Guys

This is an interesting one. We have a form in a struts application on a server. For some reason, autocomplete for the username and password don’t work on this form on IE. It works fine on Firefox.

My question is: does anyone have any idea what may cause autocomplete to fail under IE?

The HTML in the page is 100% HTML 4.01 Transitional complient. There is no AUTOCOMPLETE=”OFF” attribute in any of the INPUT tags or in the FORM tag.

Any ideas gratefully received. Personally, I’m stumped.

Hi and thanks for the reply

Just using the standard struts functionality for sessions - cookies and/or jsessionid. We have other struts applications where this works just fine - we tend to build these apps using our own base application template. This one just doesn't want to behave.
