targeting loaded swf from an html link with java ?

Hi All,

O.K here goes, I have a flash site that has a home page with an empty movie clip, I load swf’s into this movie clip with the loadMovie function.

loadMovie (“external.swf”, “_root.emptymovieclip”);

Now I am constructing a newsletter, the links on this html newsletter need to target the relevant movie clip, so the html link needs to tell the flash movie to load external.swf into emptymovieclip.

I’m thinking this is not possible, but if it is my guess is javascript would be the language that could do it.

Any thoughts, ideas or complete solutions would be gratefully recieved.
