hi and sorry for this basic question:
compared to “normal” frames, are there any serious reasons for not using iframes? as far as i can see, browser compatibility doesn´t seem to be a problem – correct me if i´m wrong. any other issues?
i just never needed and therefore never used iframes, so now i wanna be sure before i change a whole site´s structure…
thanks for your advice! 🙂

@MstrBobAug 28.2004 — Frames are as bad as normal frames. And frames are bad. Sure, your standard, graphical browsers deal with it. But screen readers, and textual browser support is sketchy. Search engines won't get them. And there generally annoying. If you want to include content so that it's easily updated, use Server Side includes. If you want the scrollbar affect, use CSS.
