meta and searchengins

i have a question about the keyword tag, Should i have diffrent keywords for every page or the same on every page on the site.

AND should i have all my keywords on my welcoming page???

ps any informaion on how search engins handles meta tags for websites will also be helpful!! ?

As regards keywords, you are probably better off customising the keywords for each page rather than using the same on each. Bear in mind, however, that the major search engines no longer count keywords as a major factor.
