scrolling text marquee

Hello

I am looking to insert a horizontal scrolling marquee into a web page that I am creating. I have 3 pieces of announcements that I wish to appear at the bottom of the page but what I want is for the scrolling to stop for a few seconds once each piece of information has scrolled, so that users have a chance to read the whole announcement on screen before the next piece of text scrolls along.

I have looked for the solution on the internet but it doesn’t appear to come up with exactly what I want and I don’t know how to manipulate the coding. I have found a vertical solution on http://www.appletcollection.com site called ‘Advanced News Scroll Java Applet’ but I want a horizontal version.

Can anyone help?

@QueryAug 18.2004 — Emma,

Have you been here? http://www.hotscripts.com/JavaScript/Scripts_and_Programs/Text_Scrolling/index.html 71 scripts that are each a variation of what you're looking for (btw I would steer clear of java applets if I could). Let me know if this helps.

@BillyRayAug 18.2004 — I quite like the "smooth banner" here:

Go to "library" and then "smooth banner".

Hope this helps,

Hello

Thank you for the link but unfortunately it is not what I'm looking for, however I have found the code that I need so it is not a problem now.

Cheers Emma
