How to print a document without loading it?

Can anyone tell me the HTML source code or similar on how to prompt the printing of a document without actually loading it in the browser. In other words: Click icon / skip the browser loading document / prompt a print of the remotely hosted document.

Would be ideal for Word, Excel documents.

Is it possible?

@sciguyryanAug 15.2004 — I don;t think its possible because the information has to be loaded into the browser so it can print it.
