Javascript onsubmit event won’t fire when submitted by external script

Hi,

Just like the title – I have a Visual Basic program that submits a form in an Internet Explorer window. This form is supposed to do something “onsubmit” and it doesn’t do it when the program submits it.

I understand that this is something that is supposed to happen, but is there any workaround so it will do the event?

Let me know if you require any clarification ?.

Thanks a lot! This problem has been puzzling me for days.

@PittimannJul 31.2004 — Hi!

I don't know Visual Basic, but if you are able to submit the form, you should also be able to call the function and do the form submit only, if the function returns true.

Cheers - Pit

Thanks again!
