Trying to combine MouseTrailClock and LineScroller

Hello,
I’m a bloody noob when it comes to JS but even I can manage to copy and paste. ?
Problem:
I have 2 scripts that I want to run in the same page simultaneously. But one script ALWAYS “kill” the other.
The scripts are:
Amy Cook’s MouseTrailClock (MTC)
Ernst Straka’s LineScroller (LS)

No matter what I try the MTC always displays as it should but the LS never shows up. With BOTH scripts together in one page.
However, if I cut the MTC script from the source THEN the LS works perfectly….?

Is there a simple solution to this?
I have searched around a bit and found quite a few posts concerning the MTC and the LS in question but I can’t make heads or tails of them… ?

Anyway here are the links to the scripts:
MouseTrailClock
LineScroller

Thanks in advance ?

@PittimannJul 20.2004 — Hi!

Please be aware of this: mousetrails of whatever kind are mostly regarded as disturbing and might encourage users to immediately leave your site (and never come back). Both scripts do not work in modern Mozilla based browsers (which might keep them on your site ?).

It is possible to modify both scripts to make them work in Mozilla as well (no time for that right now).

Here is a working (in IE) combination: http://www.pit-r.de/scripts/mouseTrailClockAndLineScroller.htm

Hello, ?

I am aware of the annoyance factor of something trailing the mouse wherever it goes but since I'm having it on only one of the pages on my site, the cool factor prevails! ?

At least for me..... ?

Thanks for the link, that seems to work nicely even though I can't see much of a difference in the scripts. Will check closer when I get home from work tonight only have time for a quick scan just now.

Thanks for the help. ?
