how to get a caretposition

what method is used to get a caretposition of the textarea object that works for both IE6.0 & Netscape4.75?.

@Khalid_AliJul 14.2004 — I'd seriously doubt if there is anything like that for NS4.75,however for NS6+ and IE5+ you can do that.
