I’m creating a website with WordPress that promotes an opportunity I’m a part of. When people sign up, I get a commission, of course. What I’m trying to achieve is…
When people sign up, I want them to be able to use my website to promote the same opportunity, but for them to get credit. I want them to be able to add their affiliate user name into my link without having to become a member of my website. Becoming a member will not be an option.
Example:
Someone goes to mywebsite.com/?ref=MyAffiliateID to sign up under me.
The button they click takes them to opportunitywebsite.com/MyAffiliateID
Once they sign up, they find out they can use my website to promote their affiliate link if they choose to do so.
So they send their leads to mywebsite.com/?ref=TheirAffiliateID.
That person clicks on the button to join, but the button takes them to opportunitywebsite.com/TheirAffiliateID. So that affiliate gets credit for the sign up.
How would I get the button to read the /?ref=TheirAffiliateID in the URL in the address bar?
I can’t remember exactly, but I’m pretty sure I had something like this before. I’m just not sure I ever had to install anything or not. It was probably 15 years ago. I’d rather not have to pay for a plugin to achieve this. If I have to I will.
The reason I’m wanting to go this route is because I don’t want to have to keep building funnels for people. If I can post a video showing them how to add their affiliate ID to my website URL, it would be a lot quicker. I also get paid for indirect referrals. So if I can guarantee a premium funnel instantly for anyone signing up, that’s just more incentive for them to join.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
