does SEO even matter anymore?

I mean those websites that have control over keywords for more than 10 years now, I don’t see them ever lose the rank.

Why should google feel urged to give best results to people who search for things, when it is enough to just ANSWER their question and that’s it.

Let’s say, you are searching a story for a bird.

Let’s say you are asking, what is the cause of this and this disease, yes?

Well.. sure you can answer better and idk, make a better website, but why should google even care?

IF someone already answered it and has like million backlinks he gets more views, he then gets even more backlinks, and once a certain topic has been worked on, there is not much that can be done.

So I heared some official from Google saying no no, we make sure that this is not the case. Well how?
I can show you dozens of pages extremely well and better made but somehow stupid ugly page design that is simply older always remains on top.

Now I’d challange you to show me a case where a page with a lot of backlinks and good technical solution somehow got downgraded because some little newcomer page had better content.

Here, I will give you an easier task, give me 5 examples where underdog website, just started off and has taken over a bigger older website…

I know this because I have a very successful YouTube channel, like more than 1 million subs. BAck in the day, it was so easy to become popular.

I am not saying that the current competition is the issue. I am saying quite the opposite. I still make millions and millions of views on that old YouTube channel, which is horribly made and I made 3x more new videos much better produced, better audience retention, better backlinking, better sharing, more likes, more subs conversion. Guess what? IT barely gets ANY views!!! Lol….

And guess what, that old channel keeps generating so many views I am even surprised.

So for sure I myself am a proof that my old content is basically on top while new much better content can’t even get ANY exposure on that new channel. I upload oneof those videos on that old channel and BOOM, 200k views and ranks well. I am a proof of that at least for YouTube. And remember YouTube is a pretty lively community and it was specially re programmed many times over to allow new talent rise to the top. Yet it still fails.

So how and why do you think, a new website can now be made and very good one with useful information, better information than previous ones, and still manage to top the ranks?

@kingsizexxNov 10.2020 — also seo can make ur site weight lower as it requires in google requirements. No matter how perfect is your site and how good can it be for other people, if it weights really high it can cause disbalance in google's system as everything is measured by it standarts. SEO can not just make it weight lower, but also fit for Alexa's rankings, as on speech search engines as on Windows or Iphone systems, the results are shown in a specific way to be easiest for operating system to percepe the results. Thanks to WebsiteStrategies I learned this but honestly I don't really like SEO as it has so much different stuff and can make chaos in ur head.

@emilywhiteNov 11.2020 — Without ongoing SEO efforts, you run the risk of losing your top-ranking spots in search results. And competitors will likely jump at the chance to outrank you. You might have the most well-designed website, but if nobody can find it, you won't attract new customers or grow your business.

@cmswebsiteservicessNov 19.2020 — SEO is still an important part of ranking it doesn't mean that if you are ranked on the first page you can be always on the first page. You have to work on your website SEO if you want to rank higher on the search engines. Seo strategy is more important than ever. It's an essential component to successful digital marketing efforts, and it can be the difference between attracting tons of website traffic and getting lost among the billions of other sites on the Internet.

@NaheedNov 19.2020 — This is an important question and needs to be answered.

SEO does not work in three scenarios. They are as follows:
  • 1. If you want quick results

  • 2. If your customers are not searching for what you are providing

  • 3. If you are selling only premium products

@elisecoenNov 19.2020 — Yes, SEO still matters, but not in the way it once did. Google algorithms once depended heavily on keywords, making optimizing content much like a math formula. Use the right keywords in the right places in the right amount of times and, voila, you got ranked.

Google’s algorithm has evolved, and continues to evolve, to the point where it’s not so much about search ENGINE optimization but more about search EXPERIENCE optimization. Google’s success depends on how well it can help people find the right content for the right problem at the right time, which is much more complicated than a simple formula.

There’s no longer a “one-size-fits-all” approach to attracting the attention of search engines. SEO is more than keywords. It’s content. And it’s user experience optimization. If you are satisfying the user, you’re more likely to catch the search engines’ attention because that’s what they are trying to do, too.

So SEO does still matter, but the old SEO is dead.
