my sql cms question/s

hello my stingy host makes me pay extra for mysql database, but i found a company that gives out free mysql, in order to use a cms (if any body knows a cms that you don’t need any database please post ? ) i need a database but is there way to link my existing site to use a diffrent database hosted at a diffrent site?

@AdamGundryJul 05.2004 — Provided the company hosting the MySQL database allows remote connections to the database (which they may or may not, depending on the intended purpose of the service) you should be able to connect to it by setting the appropriate variable when configuring the CMS. Bear in mind that free services are not always the most reliable, so if this is for an important site you might want to think about paying the extra.
