Select Box question

I’m trying to use the following javascript to populate a textbox with a value chosen from a Select box. I can’t get it to work at all. Is there something that I’m doing wrong here?

<script language=”JavaScript”>
function posID(){
document.main.posID.value = document.main.bu.optionsdocument.main.bu.selectedIndex].value;
</script>

My form’s name is main. The textbox that I am trying to populate is named posID and the select box is named bu. I’m calling the function with an onChange event in the bu selectbox.

Thanks.

Mark

@PittimannJun 15.2004 — Hi!

Try something like this:

function posID(){

document.main.posID.value = document.main.bu.options[document.main.bu.selectedIndex].value;

}

Cheers - Pit
