help SSL error instructions on non-SSL non-SSL connections

We’re trying to add a new Forwarder (6.6.1) to our indexer (non-SSL connection), we’re able to connect to the forwarder just fine and everything seems correct but we’re not seeing the forwarder on the deployment server.

In Splunkd.log we see the following error for the forwarder:

What can be the cause of this error?

@TrainNov 25.2017 — It looks to me like you're trying to connect to http://x.x.x.x/ and Splunk is expecting https://x.x.x.x/. Many premium Splunk apps will enable SSL by default (you should do it anyway!), but it can be surprising if you miss the warning. Try connecting on https and see if you're able to get to Splunk.
