What are reason for sudden drop in site crawl stats(huge drop in number of pages crawled)? do i need to worry about sudden drop? if yes, then whats the solution?
@brad_jonesSep 16.2017 — #Often a sudden drop is associated to a search algorithm change or something wrong on your site servers. Check Google Search Console for your site and see if something is reported. You should also look at analytics for your site and see where you lost traffic. If direct traffic stayed roughly the same and only organic search dropped, then it is more likely a search engine penalty.
What do you do? First identify the problem.
If it is a search penalty, then you need to figure out what your site is doing that is getting it bumped in the algorithms.
