wordpress zerif-lite display issues on ipad

the background image, which is set to “fill screen” appears to tile when it first loads. This then sorts itself out when you scroll down.

when viewing in landscape mode, the button in the second ribon section (the black “our place or yours” section) partially covers the header text. When viewing in portrait mode, the button is slightly off centre. I have contacted the folks at Theme-isle about this, but they said that this falls outside of their free support remit. Any ideas how to resolve this? Ideally I’d like the whole black section to be centred like the first ribon section (brown menu section), but I’d settle for just displaying correctly (which is right-hand align)!
