@rootDec 23.2016 — Bounce is an email term so I will assume that the issue is mass mailing and emails being bounced.

In short, you can't control what the end point doesn't if you have not followed an established method of having people sign up toi emails and news letters, then you are spamming people which is likely the boggest reason your emails are bounced, another is the domain has been black listed and another is key word filtering on words in your emails are triggering a bounce.

So in its simplest of matters, stop spamming people, invoke a policy where people agree to receiving emails via an OPT IN and not operate an OPT OUT method and don't waste money buying email address lists most of those addresses have been scraped from websites and domain records.

I agree with this, in some many cases, the bounce rate has much relation with the quality of your content. Then you need to review again almost your articles on the website and see which exit page that you have a lot of drop traffic, try to optimize some and I think you will get the better rate.

Good luck to you,

@rootJan 02.2017 — Bounce rate represents the percentage of sent messages that cannot be delivered. Bounces can either be hard or soft. Hard bounces occur when delivery is attempted to an invalid email address, while soft bounces occur when the email server encounters an issue, such as a mailbox that has reached capacity.
I don't know why people keep on taking established terms and using them for something else, if something is bouncing then is email bouncing.

If this is people navigating away from the site, the question is how are these people arriving at the site, were they following click bait or a search term that resulted in them arriving at that site because the site is using unrelated keywords to what it is carrying as content? People bounce because they don't want their time wasted so the simplest answer is to stop wasting peoples time and be honest in the content you deliver and the keywords you use.

You see this practice with retailers, search for something to find that their site shows up and when you click the link, you are at a page that has none of that product. So if you don't sell it or have that article, don't use keywords.

You should also read up about why you shouldn't use click bait headlines or tag lines.

@rootJan 14.2017 — Same old BS keeps cropping up, if people arrive at your site through an internet search, you either have nothing that they want or have keywords listed in the searches that bring people to your site through false presences.

This is a common fact that is used by people who want to pull in traffic because they delude themselves in to thinking that need to do this in order to get and retain visitors when all they are doing is wasting peoples time, thats why people "bounce" because they have been led or directed through the various means that are used to pull in traffic.

No matter how much quality articles or content, blogging and so on is used, you will never retain anyone who doesn't want to be there.

For example, I was looking for something on-line and found plenty of results in the search engine results but I found that every link I followed led to some site that was either a click bait site or to a retailler that used a generic keyword list and had paid the search engine to get listed. So these sites wasted my time, wasn't interested in having anymore of my time wasted so I was gone.

Simple rule of thumb, you take time to build traffic and retain users and you do this by being bonest and not trying to pull in people by misleading them... Simple.

There is this mindset and imperative that people come up with that unless they do something to get visitors, their site / business / venture will fail... It won't fail because its a big web and your site will get visits by reputation, reputation is something that gets you known to be a faker or a valid site, once you taint your own name, you are most certainly history.

A friend and I started a site 10 years ago and it regularly pulls in more than 3 million visitors a year and I have not advertised that site once, I used honest meta data and visitors come because of that, nothing more and nothing less.

@shivanshis4Jan 28.2017 — First understand what causes High Bounce Rates -

  • 1. Slow Loading Speed

  • 2. Irrelevant Pop-ups

  • 3. Too many ads

  • 4. You pages shows something which you haven't promised for (e.g. writing some catchy heading to gain visitors may harm you. For me, If I know that a page is fooling me by false titles, I won't go back there at all)

  • 5. Not-so-unique or Bad quality or unnecessary images

  • 6. Misplacement of CTAs.

  • 6. Last and Most important, your CONTENT. If it's not worth reading, why will I stay? Consider you are a service company, your website had unprofessional content, no client will work with you. It happened with our team until we hired a professional copy writer (I hired her from Contentmart and thought it's costly but it truly worth it. I had many options there so I cen't even say that was costly, it was me who chose that writer cuz I liked). Start running a blog and put good content writers to work. Keep the content SEO friendly and audience friendly and your bounce rate will be lesser than ever.

@rootJan 29.2017 — As I keep on point out to people who ask these types of questions No matter how much quality articles or content, blogging and so on is used, you will never retain anyone who doesn't want to be there.
If your visitor is there under false pretences, meaning you brought them to the site with a promise of offering what they want and you are not... they will bounce, no one like click bait or their time wasted and the problem today is people are wasting others time by artificially inflating site hits through various means to pull in traffic that these site really have no legitimate claim to.

Or in simple terms, being honest is what counts.

    @Endive_SoftwareFeb 06.2017 — Hello Guys.

The first step is very basic to reduce the bounce rate is do not try to fool your search Engine(Either you say that don't try to do Black-Hating SEO).

Simple Steps to Reduce Bounce Rate-

    Don't

    1) Improve your Content Quality(Original)

    2) Do not try to do Keyword Stuffing(More use of Same Keywords)

    3) Don't do Meta Stuffing(Same Keywords use in metatags)

4)Do not try to create low-Quality Pages that contain very little content(Doorways)

    5)Do not Page hijacking

    Do's

    1) Follow Search Engine Rules

    2) Make your Content or site more trustworthy

    3) Similer Content in Each Social Profile

    4) Follow Digital Marketing Services
    Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@rootFeb 06.2017 — Why does everyone keep on putting rubbish about quality content?

The real issue is how the person landed on that page to start with and allot of the time its down to misuse of keywords or use of wording that causes the site to show in search results but that person visiting leaves because the site is simply not what they are after.

I can say from my experience of this and I can say its bloody annoying, when I am looking for a product all I get is review sites and when I am looking for information all I get are review sites and when I want shopping sites that sell the item I get selling sites that don't sell the item because of a misrepresentation.

    BE ACCURATE

    BE TRUTHFUL

and that will reduce any bounce rate and you have to accept the fact that people will not stay unless you are offering something that they looking for, it won't matter how good a quality your content is, unless its what they are looking for, you won't retain them.

    It is that simple.
