Some Methods Won’t Get Called

So, this is really confusing me. In the following code, there are two

[CODE]console.log[/CODE]

‘s, but there is only one in the console.

[CODE](function($) {
console.log(“DIE 2”);
register();
})(jQuery);

function register() {
console.log(“DIE 1”);
emailCheck();
}[/CODE]
