When try to link to mp4 I get the "the page cannot be found" error

Hi,

I have a link on my page to a .mp4 video. I uploaded the video to my server, as it seemed quite large. I placed the video in the same directory as my index.asp page. But for some reason, I keep getting the “page cannot be found” error when I click on the link/image. I can see it on the server when I open my Filezilla FTP software, and I have tried multiple things to make it work with no success. Even when I type the path by itself in the URL bar nothing appears. Any suggestions? This is a Dreamweaver CS4 site I did some time ago.

Here is the web page. The link is the 50th Anniversary image at the bottom of the page:

http://www.oaknoll.com/

I took a screen image of the server directory with the two files in it, but can’t figure out how to load it into this post…

Thanks for any help you can provide.

@Kevin2Sep 12.2016 — Change:

<a href="http://www.oaknoll.com/OaknollTVShowProof.mp4/" />

To:

<a href="http://www.oaknoll.com/OaknollTVShowProof.mp4">

EDIT:

OK, that still doesn't load but make that change anyway. Are you sure about the filename spelling/capitalization?

@saraneeauthorSep 12.2016 — Yes, the file name on the server is the same as in the Web Page. I took the spaces out of the original mp4 file thinking that might be posing a problem. But still no luck.

@Kevin2Sep 12.2016 — After a bit of searching I found your cross-post over at Sitepoint where you posted a screenshot of your files. "Quite large" doesn't even begin to describe the size of that video. At almost 400 MEGAbytes "gigantic" comes closer. But it got me to thinking about server limits and hosting service limits.

Turns out, via this search, that there are limits. According to this article, IIS has a 28.6Mb limit by default.
maxAllowedContentLength

[...]

The default value is 30000000, which is approximately 28.6MB.
When it gets a request for a file larger than that it throws a 404. If you have access to the settings that limit is changeable and that article shows you how.

@saraneeauthorSep 12.2016 — Thanks Kevin,

I hadn't thought about the size. I'll look into that.

@DomnickOct 06.2016 — You need to use comments and frame tag for locate video and set path for that to particular video.
