I was bored last weekend, so I took a busman’s holiday and created a blogging framework that does not use a database. It doesn’t even have an admin interface, as the only “admin” function is to use FTP or whatever to copy article files to the “posts” directory (and optionally images to the “static/img” directory). The posts are written in markdown, and saved with a name per a specific naming convention. Feel free to poke around with it if you’d like — it’s 100% open-source freeware.

(I currently have one open enhancement issue, which is to make it work from a site’s sub-directory, as right now it has to be run from the web root.)
