Advice on finding a good Web Analytics Tool?

I am kinda new to web development and am helping a friend with a couple of her sites. I am trying to find a good Web Analytics tool and need some advice.

I’d like to track info about the visitors to my site, ip address, general location, what page they click on etc.

She was using opentracker which is good, it does everything I need and it has an API that allows me to send it custom variables to track but the price went from just over $100 a year to over $500 a year. She is on a budget. Are there any other good tools out there that will track visitor info, custom attributes, and are affordable?
