Making A Video Player Library & a few questions.

Hey, I’ve been coding for a few years, mostly self taught, and I have a few questions and a main question about video players.

1st, can someone explain the difference between sever side and client side languages and what the two are used for.

2nd is it possible to setup your own rss(xlm?) feed or to get one from google calendar.

3rd, final, and main question, I’m doing a project which involves taking old sermons and video files, and making them available within a online player. I want to set it up as kissanime.com does with it’s videos, being able to select files through a option bar and having that video pulled up and played, and possibly a way to auto update it whenever a file is uploaded. Should I create my own server and host them there ? Use Blog hosting ? Or just go ahead and get professional hosting somewhere?
