I’d like to know how to get some help with this…

I know that I need to upload my songs to my ftp and stuff, but I’d like to know if there is a way to have a song play without going off when a page is changed.

Like, if maybe the player could be a pop up that stays up…

Is there any way to do that? I’m sure there is. Help me someone! lol

@PeOfEoMay 18.2004 — You can accomplish this by using frames. But I hate music on sites and frames. A frame will cramp your design, and if the frame is 0px high, then it is not going to allow me to turn off the music which will tick me off more. Why are you using music on your site? You are wasting my bandwidth and many other user's bandwidth and your server's bandwidth when you do so. Most users hate website music because it tends to be low quality, or if it is high quality it takes forever to download. Also it interfears with winamp or might startle the user if it starts suddenly after the site has been displayed for a while but the music was not quite done downloading. I hate it when some huge trumpet or loud beep goes off from no where when I am browsing (I have a 3mbit dl with my cable, but server upload lag still makes music take a while to download)

Also, a vast majority of the users of the internet hate website music unless the go there with the intent to download that music (like a download link on a band's site). I can guarantee you the other members of this forum will share this anti music sentiment like myself, I have seen them say so in many threads.

I do agree with you that I hate music that starts as soon as I get to a page, because most times I'm surfing I'm also listening to my own music and until they discover a way to make my music sound good with their website music it is annoying. But yeah, it would have a player. That's all I was asking.

However, I can't get the frames to work on my site, and as it is, the site probably wouldn't look good in frames anyway, so it's a no go on that anyway. Thanks again for your outlook on it.

I will probably add something to one page though, which people have requested it the most on, and that won't be a problem. I just originally wanted to know how to do it for many pages without stopping.

@PeOfEoMay 21.2004 — well the only other way without frames for it to work on every page would be to open a new window. Normally I would not say use javascript, but for this you do not need to be accessible since it is more of an aesthetic affect. So you could just open a small js window and drop a player in that.
