In need of urgent help for my website

I am in utter frustration and would love for someone to help me out. I am making a website and here is where i need help in:
So basically i want to make lots of 100×100 boxes displayed on my website that’s ONE thing i don’t know how to do.
Second, when somebody clicks on a box i want them to have the option to input a image or gif they want that’s TWO things i don’t know how to do.
And lastly this is something extra but would love if someone knows how to do this, i want the people to have the option to merge boxes if they want to take more space. Like if they click on box 1 (box1=100×100) and then click on box 2 to have the option to take 200×100 of space of boxes which would create a rectangle (You get what im saying?).
Oh and what is the best program i can use to make this possible? I don’t think Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 can merge boxes the way im explaining it?
An answer to any of these would be VERY appreciated. Thanks.

@SempervivumNov 21.2015 — i want to make lots of 100x100 boxes displayed on my website[/QUOTE]This can be done either by javascript or by PHP. When I read your posting I assume that you have no programming knowledge yet?

@SempervivumNov 22.2015 — What you intend to do I consider to be an advanced task. I recommend to focus on one programming language first: Javascript. There is a wide spread framework for Javascript named jQuery. This makes it easier to handle the DOM, which you need for creating and handling your boxes. And you will need CSS to arrange and style the boxes. And the file API for selecting and uploading the images. I'm not completely shure but it seems unlikely that these tasks can be done with a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver. Save the money and make yourself familiar with programming in Javascript/jQuery.
