Can anyone tell me what was used to make this page?

Hello,

I would like to have a page made for my own-site, that functions similar to, and that accomplishes the same task as, this page:
When you arrive at page, enter a number into the “gallons” box.
[url]http://www.cuttingedgesolutions.com/nutrients-calculator/[/url]

I currently offer a spreadsheet to accomplish this task, but for several reasons, i would like to keep this particular sheet/tool integrated on a site, as in this example, and discontinue the spreadsheet option, which is rife with questions, issues, etc.

My question is…what type of mechanics are accomplishing this page?
Is it HTML coding? JAVA? app? SQL Database? coding?
I don’t even know what some of these terms mean.

But to find someone who can build this, I would like to define what it is!
Do i look for an app developer?
A database expert?
A HTML programmer?

Thank you for any help.
(Please give answers like you were talking to a 5 year-old…my web education is terrible.)

That is a good choice if you want the code to be interactive, and if security is not a priority. If however, you need to store or rely on the results being true, a server-side language like PHP would be a more secure alternative.

I am glad to know this, and it will help me narrow my search.

I want to get a similar page made.

Does that page look like a difficult endeavor? Would it take someone long, to duplicate its function?
