Window.open command not always working

Hi guys

I’ve used the window.open command for a link from our corporate website to our online database product in order to remove the back/forward buttons etc due to the dynamic nature of the product and the need to use our own navigation.

Here is the link

<a class=7 href=’URL’ onclick=”window.open(‘URL’,’win1′,’menubar=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,height=620,width=1000,top=0,left=0′);return false”>Customer Login</a>

It works fine for me and every machine here in the office but my colleague was at a customer site today and when he used the link it opened up in the same window and therefore keeping the usual navbar etc in the browser. I suspect it is something blindingly obvious but what browser setting could cause this?
They were using IE 6 and so are we.

Thanks for any info

@TheBearMayMay 14.2004 — Just at a glance I would guess that the Href executed instead of the onclick - possibly due to JS being disabled.

Thanks for that.
