how to learn jquery

i am completely demotivated by taking look at the tags,selectors used in jquery…
Is it neceessary to a web developer to know everything about jquery

@SempervivumAug 17.2015 — #My experience is that it is sufficient to know the basics about using selectors and adressing elements. Afterwards one can look up those features in the manual that one needs for the current task.
