Select list highlighted line centering (what? read please)

Clicking on the above link will show you the webpage that I am creating. When you click on a menu line it takes you to the appropriate book page. That part is easy.

A little harder was making the webpage recognize the book page and automatically selecting the appropriate select line. That is done, too.

But the selected line is ALWAYS moved to the top of the 7-line select list. I want it to be in the middle of the list, so there are three lines above and three lines below the selected line.

Is there a way to control the scrolling of a select list so I can make this a reality?
