I’ve been messing around with css for a bit now and understand that it’s quite universal. I also understand there are many ways to do certain things with various code. However, I don’t understand how this below works.
Ok… I’ve taken the html, images, and css and uploaded it here – [url]http://www.graphics-tech.com/blah
Below is the code to the css where I centered the page horizontally and made the page align flush with the top of the browser edge.
[code]#container
{
position: absolute;
left: 45%;
top: 45%;
margin-left: -339px;
margin-top: -300px;
}
Now, I’ve uploaded the same stuff but altered the css code a bit. The other version is here – [url]http://www.graphics-tech.com/blah2
Below is the edited code where I centered the page horizontally and made the page align flush with the top of the browser edge…. again.
[code]#container
{
position: absolute;
left: 45%;
margin-left: -339px;
margin-top: -14px;
}
What I’d like to know is… how is this working? I’d also like to know how the difference in code results the same effects.
Thanks,
Brandon
