Problem is there are different cable providers in every country, and here in jacksonville I have comcast, but just south of here in the daytona area it is time warner cable, and up to the north it is cox cable, then there is satallite and you would have to figure out which dish provider they have. You would have to have some automation obviously, but a system to keep something like this would need a whole lot of manual changes for whenever a new cable provider moves into a new area, and when a provider drops or picks up a network, because that infromation cannot simply be grabbed from the internet by querying a server. If there is such a thing as a universal online tv guide that can get the programming for all countries, or even just the united states, it would probably have a bit of a fee attached for membership or to put it on your site, either way this thing is not going to be able to run for free or with some puny ads.
