My local files all are present, locally and at the server. I uploaded all the files to the server. When I browse locally everything is fine. When I browse the server, I get “no files” and a message reagrding port 80(?) for 4 files (out of approximately 25 html files).

I also get an error saying that “Particles” is no such file. I changed all files to lower case and this capital P still is hanging around. What’s happening?

I was under the impression that ‘port 20’ was the default, though I am not sure what the port is all about..

I deleted the links locally, deleted the code and rewrote everything all to no avail.

Is this voodoo??

@PeOfEoApr 23.2004 — you uploading throgh ftp, or is the server running on your box, or over the network, what? What is the server and the server os too. File permissions might be to blame if you can see it in the folder but you cannot see it when you dir browse, or get it from the internet.

I am using smartFTP to upload to frontiernet.net. The files that seem corrupted aren't any different than the rest of the 20 or so files that do work.

What is server os?

I will look closer at the problem files and report back.
