drop down menu hidden

I have a navigation drop down menu accross the top page. I also have an flash object and java applet but the menu drops down behind these. How can bring the menu forward?

the menu also works in firefox, netscape 7.1 and opera 7. the really cool applet only works in opera, though.

if i get the chance to find some older browsers and download them i will.
