option list onfocus event questions

Hey everyone –

I have a table setup that will have many fields (different types) that will facilitate data entry –

What i am looking for is a way for change the background color of the cell that the active control is in…

i can change the backround color of the control itself – but i would like to change the background color of the cell that holds the control.

i am currently using
this.style.backgroundColor=”#ffffff”

is this a task that can be completed?

thanks
tony

@batfinkApr 20.2004 — You need to reference childNodes. If appropriate you can use firstChild or lastChild to reference the objects.

Depending on how you are referencing your objects parentElement and parentNode may be of use.
