@crh3675Apr 11.2004 — By a single user or for all HTTP requests? Would you consider a view even if the user clicked the "refresh button"?

@stirkyauthorApr 12.2004 — It would be for all http requests. Bassically what its for is i have some videos thats are like 25mb and i was needing a page to prevent me exeding my bandwidth allowence.

@chrismartzApr 12.2004 — you could try using a cookie that the user would have set on their computer....that would be easily deleted though....try using a server side scripting language...that is the only way i can think of

@AdamGundryApr 12.2004 — A cookie wouldn't work for what you want to do, because it needs to affect all users. You will need to use a server-side language, such as PHP, Perl or ASP - which one(s) you have access to depends on your host.

@stirkyauthorApr 13.2004 — Is it still possible if my site host does not allow php,perl etc?

@chrismartzApr 13.2004 — not really....unless you trust your viewer of your site not to delete a cookie you set....who hosts your site? I'm sure you could get upgraded to have a server side language....i would go with .asp but thats just what i think ?

@AdamGundryApr 14.2004 — Cookies wouldn't work, and yes, you would need a server-side language (I recommend PHP).
