Google tells the truth

For pure amusement purposes, I searched Google for the highly sarcastic query of:

Internet Explorer Rocks

Take a look at the results.

@fredmvauthorApr 11.2004 — And here's the result of searching Google for:

Mozilla Rocks

Need I say more?

@shimonApr 11.2004 — Google does indeed tell the truth:

just google on the words "miserable failure" for proof...

yeah it's old hat, but relevant as ever in '04 ?

or do an I'm feeling lucky for "french military victories"

@AdamGundryApr 11.2004 — The power of Google should not be underestimated. For example, following the recent anti-SCO sentiment in the GNU/Linux community, have you tried searching for this?

@steelersfan88Apr 11.2004 — to comment on the French and Presidential posts previously given:

Do you people have any sense at all? The French are the only reason we are a free country (Revolutionary War in unison with the French). The French are the only reason we do not speak German (no offense Pit ?, D-Day at Normandie).

If we want to make comments on Bush, we could sure make many more on Hoover and Clinton. And for that, by re-electing Clinton, the American people also deserve to be laughed at.

Once anyone here decides they'd like to be killed by nuclear and biological weapons housed in the Middle East at North Korea, go ahead, I won't care. When anyone realizes that the threat of other countries has greatly increased, than you have finally woken up ?

Please stop the racial comments on other countries, including our own (being that the magority is US). Obviously with nosense at all, I understand the poor choices you've all made ?

PS. Still an IE user and nobody going to stop me ? And Fred, have you no life to search Google for undesirable results ? . I can say with great assurance that I am proud to have a life on top of what I do here.

@PeOfEoApr 11.2004 — Look at Al Gore. Look at George Bush. After 911 what would gore have done, fired some cruise missiles into Kabul? This war is by no means unjustified and Bush is doing a great job. Sadam was paying the families of suiside bombers in israel I think 20,000 per job, which is a whole lot when you make 1,000 a year. Saddam was keeping his people down especially with that oil for food campaign. This guy violated the UN sanctions countless times under clinton and very well could have had stock piles or weapons. This guy could still have them, it took us years to find them after Deasert Storm infact. Saddam was a bad guy and a threat to US security and US interests. Bush is doing an excelent job right now, this country has just been racked with a lot of problems that were out of his control. Some of the more flaming democrats like to act like he is behind the oil shortage right now because opec cut down production, and the environmentalists will not let us pump in anwar, and others still seem to think the war was about oil, well when we start getting a flow from a Iraq may it hurt the Opec cartel.

That's quite alright. That's your loss.Originally posted by steelersfan88

And Fred, have you no life to search Google for undesirable results.
It was merely for amusement purposes as originally stated. I guess you missed the entire point but, when searching Google for a positive thing about IE — saying it "rocks" — turns up a bunch of results saying quite the contrary and how Mozilla is better; I can assure you many other people will find that rather funny. Again it seems as if you can't accept blatant facts handed to you, and rather choose to directly insult other members.
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@steelersfan88Apr 11.2004 — It is not my loss as I pointed out before. I make users use IE to view my sites. If you do not have IE, then you will not see it. Why? Because most of my content cmomes in downloaded, IE-embedded applications ?

I never said I didn't find it funny, but what I find funny is that you actually took the time to search it, made an image (seemingly due to the fact you think it will change), and waste forum resources to post your findings.

I never disrespect or actually insult other members, it seems that you among others have trouble receiving and perceiving information presented to you ?
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@JonaApr 11.2004 — Okay, here's my point of view, since we're all getting opinionated. ?

First, I agree with steelersfan and peo on the political posts - good going, guys. ?

Second, I think it's quite all right to search Google for undesirable results - I do it all the time. ? There are some hilarious resources (whether images, Flash animations, or texts) online, and I intend to make the most of the world's greatest search engine!

Third, we can all face the fact that Steelersfan is a programmer, not a designer; so all you Mozilla zealots (myself included, lol), you can leave Kelly out of your campaign. ?
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@steelersfan88Apr 11.2004 — thank you Jona about the first and third paragraphs ? Also note I never, ever use document.all or any IE only-stuff, without specifying it is IE only beforehand.

I am glad I am not a desginer, but I do make sure everything I do design, which is minimal is IE and Mozilla tested ?

i have a bumper sticker on my car that says 'someone else for president.' that says that no matter who is in office, (no matter what office), no matter what place in the world, somebody will disagree with them, and they will almost undoubtedly do something worth joking about, if not even mocking. i am often the person do that joking.

This would be an upgrade for some, who actually take the information, then change it around to make it seem that I am insulting others. I would be happy if everyone just took my information and did nothing, rather than fooling around, with it ?

just as a reference point.......

the french haven't won a war without american help (not including the french revolution) in the last 2000 years. yet, they were crucial in our surviving our own revolution.

the normandy invasion was by american, british, and canadian troops.

just thought i'd let you know.

@PeOfEoApr 12.2004 — under napolian france conquered lands all over europe... but napolian was corsican, which was an italian province when he was born, and he was raised italian, so therefore we can say france had an italian ruler and france was an extention of italy.
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@steelersfan88Apr 12.2004 — Assume french was under its feudalist/absolute monochial government when World War II began. There, without a doubt, would have been no D-Day. Assumethat the French and British have never been bitter enemies: we would still be mommy's child and never have grown up.

US has never lost a war, but US has never won a war without help of the coalition. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization makes its smaller army stand up.

And as PeOfEo pointed out, Napoleon, thankfully, did not reign until he was 150 and World War II, as Italy was part of the Warsaw Pact at that time, which included Germany, Russia (for the most part), Poland, Italy, and the Austria-Hungary Empire (for the most part).
