What are parsers?
When you write up your post, and hit '"submit reply", the values you entered are sent to a database where they're stored. When people visit the pages, the html is dynamically drawn up from the databases to contain links to the correct threads. When the threads themselves are viewed, the content the users who have participated in the thread have entered is drawn up and displayed, and while it's displayed, all special characters are converted like < into < and > into > ; their html entity counterparts. Or somethoing like that.
Now, open up notepad, write in some html, save it as "myfirst.html" with utf-8 encoding, and then go to it in windows explorer and open it up. Now, open it up *Right Click>Open with) notepad to modify it. Rinse and repeat.
