CSS Rollover Questions

I’m almost done with a horizontal CSS navbar that works in multiple browsers; I’ve been testing it in IE & NS, and you can see the actual page at: http://www.douglas-county.com/Test_folder/cssmenu_test.asp

Here are the problems I’m having:
1) Currently the buttons with the “.hassub” arrow produce another space on hover, but this only happens in IE. When I change the “nav1 li:hover” from “display:block” to display:inline”, it then works great in IE, but not in NS. How can I get this to work in both? I like the “.hassub” arrow for submenus, but I may not be able to use it because of this problem.

2) The margins set now look great in NS, but not in IE. Does anyone see something that I’m obviously doing wrong with the margins?

Thanks for any & all help.
