Blocking IE popups

I want to block the annoying Internet Explorer popups which appear during surfing.

Is there any way to do this, without writing the IE plugin.

I have written a DLL which gets all the data going to the IE. My idea is to comment the “window.open” part.

  • 1. Will this help to stop all the popups?

  • 2. Will this have any sort of side effects?

@Khalid_AliAug 11.2003 — or a better choice will be(if you like to see mouse trails and stuff) switch to Mozilla based browsers(Netscape6+) and block the darn popups while you can still njoy rest of the JavaScript funtionalities.
