notepad and one-liners

i’m sorry for asking again, but my question still hasn’t been answered. Whenever I save a .php file, all code is put on one line like this:

[CODE]<table width=”936″ border=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ cellpadding=”0″ align=”center”> <tr> <td width=”48″> <img src=”images/3.jpg” width=”48″ height=”131″></td> [/CODE]

it doesn’t make any difference if i save the file as .txt or else. Notepad even goes one-line if i just save an existing file.
please help me

@buntineMar 29.2004 — Reinstall notepad... Make sure [i]word-wrap[/i]is turned on.

Also, dont go near any editors which use formatting of some type like word and frontpage.

but, how do i reinstall notepad and where can i find the word-wrap option ?

@buntineMar 30.2004 — Word-Wrap is an option in the 'format' menu.

Reinstall notepad from the windows CD.

@The_Anime_KingauthorApr 03.2004 — It's not the source code of a generated page that's put on one line, I mean the original php file as it is saved on my hard disk. Whenever I save any file, notepad just makes one line of it all, like all hard returns have been removed...

Ok, last time I'll ask:

There must be some preference somewhere that suddenly changed the way notepad works...?
