Bootstrap problem

I am completely new to bootstrap, and have a problem with my banner image moving up under the navigation bar when the page size is reduced in width in a browser to about less than 500 pixels in width.

This is the URL where I am building this website while I am learning to use bootstrap. Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this problem?

@AnthonyemuoboMay 22.2015 — It would be helpful if you provided the css for the Nav bar. I believe it's because the Nav bar has the class navbar-fixed-top which makes the Navbar have a Fixed position in the CSS so just delete that class and it won't hide your header. Hope that fixes it for you. Also you said you were new to bootstap here are some videos that may be of help https://www.livecoding.tv/video/bootstrap-learning-and-making-8/.
