My website includes a world map with various markers that I (as admin) place on the map.
Users can scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in (magnify) the map.
They can also click on the markers I place there to get a pop up containing more information.
This is currently powered by Google MPAs api, but we cannot use google any longer.
Given the very limited functionality required, I believe the best replacement would be a discrete java map app, not another online service.
IF you think about the requirements for the site, it is just an image (map) that allows user to magnify, and allows the admin to add markers.
With google users can scroll to street level detail, but this is not needed, magnifying to the point of focusing in on a US state is enough.
Has anyone sees a prebuilt map for use on a website?
Thanks
