jquery move content

This is a very simple jquery move that has me stumped. With a source view one can click on both js scripts and see the path is right. I have tried different jquery & general.js scripts, initial.php is in the same folder.

@LesshardtoofindFeb 22.2015 — Your event registration is outside of your document.ready function (which waits UNTIL all the html is loaded before it runs)

<i>
</i>$(document).ready(function() {
$('#content').load('initial.php');
});
$('a').click(function() {
var page = $(this).attr('href');
$("#content").load(page);
return false;
})

if you want to register your events BEFORE a is created then you need to look at .on() (click for documentation).

It will register an event on an object before it exists AND it puts less overhead on your browser if say you had 100 'a' on the page.

You are also missing a semicolon at the end of your event registration
